Involves a full day of strenuous physical labor, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as climbing and balancing on scaffolds and ladders.

Related Instruction and Method
All four years, apprentices must attend school one night per week, four hours per night (5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.). School year consists of 144 hours.
Be at least 18 years old and have high school diploma or G.E.D., and have a valid NYS Drivers License.
Apprentices must have their own hand tools. Average starter set is approximately $200.

Estimated Annual Earning
Estimate of $49,500 based upon 1,600 hours per year. *

Health Care, Pension Fund, Annuity and Education Fund Benefits. Benefit eligibility is based on the rules and requirements of each specific fund.
- $500.00 – $250 when you start and $250 when you finish your Apprenticeship
- 8% of your taxable gross weekly earnings
